The Office has decided to hold thier first songwriter contest!!! I am pleased to announce that I have been selected to host this engagement and let me tell you, I am excited!!!!!
The Mission of this contest is to connect musicans with peer response. To give an opportunty to advance thier carreer in a direction dictated by those working toward the same goal.
The songwriters will be the judges!!! So if you think you have what it takes and want the opportunity to really be heard come up and sign up!!

ANNOUNCEMENT OF ORDER AND STARTING DATE OF CONTEST WILL BE EITHER VIA THIS PAGE

THE STARTING DATE OF COMPETITION.
THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT!!

Rules for contestants.
1. Every contestant must be present for each night of competition. If you are unable to be present every night arrangements can be made upon sign-up to accommodate such neccessity. However if none are made prior to the first night of competion, contestant will be disqualified.
2. Each songwriter will be required to vote, ranking peer contestants 1st-10th place each night.
3. Sign up deadline is Aug17th, 2011. No entries will be accepted after this date.
4. Contestants upon signing these rules agree that the music performed by each individual is their own and not in fact a cover or plagiarized version of another existing work. Should such event occur contestant will disqualified immediately and any prize he/she has received shall be returned in full.
5. Contestants will perform in blocks of ten artists. Each artist will be allowed to perform 3 songs. The top 2 voted contestants will be taken from an average of all non-competing contestants votes as well as an un-announced judge who's vote will carry twenty five percent of the said average------. Contestants are awarded 2 songs in each final round.
6. Top 2 contestants from each block will advance to the finals.
7. Finals will consist of 2 nights. Winners from the first night will advance to the second and final round. Winners of this round will be awarded prizes as follows. 1st $5000.00 2nd $2500.00.
8. Professionalism will be maintained by each artist during competition when voting. To avoid bias voting, winners of each round will not be announced until the final round.
9. Contestants with performances outside of this contest shall not use stage time as a promotional spot for said contest. Ex: Do not tell people on the mic you have another show somewhere else. It's dissrespectful and unprofessional.
Upon signing this I do agree to abide by such rules for the duration of this contest. Any breech of these rules will be considered grounds for dis-qualification.
